Your Place Comedy presents:
Justin Moorhouse & Shappi Khorsandi: Live From Their Living Rooms
Star of Phoenix Nights and BBC TV and radio regular, Justin Moorhouse, joins I’m A Celebrity… contestant and frequent prime time panel show guest, Shappi Khorsandi, for another FREE live streamed show hosted by resident Your Place Comedy compere, Tim FitzHigham.
Justin has appeared on BBC2’s Live At The Apollo and is a familiar voice on talkSPORT and BBC 5Live’s Fighting Talk. He is a Celebrity Mastermind winner (specialist subject: Les Dawson), Radio 4 News Quiz regular and is one of only a handful of actors to have played two different characters in Coronation Street. He has written and starred in his own Radio 4 sitcom, Everyone Quite Likes Justin, and performed in front of 200,000 people across a 15 date live reunion of Phoenix Nights at the Manchester Arena in aid of Comic Relief, reprising his much loved role of Young Kenny. Shappi has appeared on countless television and radio shows including BBC1’s Have I Got News For You, BBC2’s Mock The Week, Live At The Apollo and QI and Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, as well as Radio 4’s Loose Ends, You And Yours, Midweek, Just A Minute, The Now Show, The News Quiz and many more. She is an acclaimed author and James Joyce Award recipient, has featured multiple times as a BBC1 Question Time panellist and was a contestant on ITV’s flagship reality show, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
Hosted by Tim FitzHigham (writer and star of BBC Radio 4’s The Gambler, presenter of CBBC’s Super Human Challenge and Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee), this is the fifth live streamed show from a group of small, independent theatres and arts centres in northern England, supporting performers and continuing to bring live entertainment to their audiences while venues remain closed.
The event is FREE to watch but there will be an option to donate if you have enjoyed the broadcast, with all money raised being distributed equally among the participating venues (including this one!). Social distancing regulations continue to make financially viable shows all but impossible to organise, and many small venues are fighting to stay afloat. Any support you are able to give really does make a difference.
