Lou Sanders & Ed Gamble
Your Place Comedy presents:
Lou Sanders & Ed Gamble: Live From Their Living Rooms
Mock The Week mainstay and co-host of hit podcast Off Menu, Ed Gamble, joins star of Live At The Apollo, QI, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and fellow Taskmaster champion, Lou Sanders, for the final FREE Your Place Comedy live streamed show in the current series.
Lou is one of Britain’s fastest-rising and most original comedy performers. Having won the Comedians’ Choice Award for Best Show at the 2018 Edinburgh Festival – voted for entirely by fellow comics – she has gone on to star in Aisling Bea’s sitcom This Way Up, appear as a guest on QI, Would I Lie to You, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Roast Battle, Hypothetical, The Unbelievable Truth and Live At The Apollo, and perform on The Late Late Show With James Corden in the USA. Lou has taken her acclaimed solo shows to Los Angeles, New York and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and supported Katherine Ryan both on her last West End run and for the recording of her Netflix special.
Best known as a regular panellist on Mock the Week, Ed Gamble’s television credits also include the Royal Variety Show, Live At The Apollo, QI and 8 Out Of 10 Cats among dozens of others. He is the co-creator of hugely successful food and comedy podcast Off Menu, alongside James Acaster, and co-hosts Radio X’s Sunday morning show with Matthew Crosby.
Both Ed and Lou have previously been crowned winners of Taskmaster, and the two will be competing against one another in a forthcoming Champion of Champions series.
Hosted by Tim FitzHigham (writer and star of Radio 4’s The Gambler, presenter of CBBC’s Super Human Challenge and Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee), Your Place Comedy presents warm, intimate and unique live streamed shows mixing chat and stand-up. The project has been put together by a group of 12 small, independent theatres and arts centres from across Yorkshire and the Humber, supporting performers and continuing to bring live entertainment to their audiences during some challenging times.
The event is FREE to watch but there will be an option to donate if you have enjoyed the broadcast, with all money raised being distributed equally among the participating venues (including this one!) to help support them while their doors remain closed.
