Two ladies of folk are appearing at Barton upon Humber’s Ropery Hall in quick succession. First up is Josie Duncan, a folk singer and songwriter from the Outer Hebrides, appearing at the Maltkiln Road venue as part of the monthly Folk Nights.

Scotland’s Paul McKenna, who is appearing at Ropery Hall on Friday (Feb 14) has long been ranked among that country’s finest younger singers and songwriters. Armed with a powerful yet intensely emotive voice and passionate social conscience, often expressed through his songs, he and his band draw on both Scottish and Irish roots.

Two original theatre productions are on stage at Barton upon Humber’s Ropery Hall in quick succession. On February 15 stand-up poet Kate Fox returns, in the company of actor Joanna Holden, with Where There’s Muck There’s Bras that was orginally commissioned by the Great Exhibition of the North 2018.
